I like the picture but the bokeh seems very unnatural...

Everyone has an opinion...............

Great thing about living right next to the ocean..is the ocean. One of the bad things is your front yard light pole is a cutting board for birds..mean birds
Good news is the hibiscus right below is always blooming nicely.:-)
Of course I grabbed the 200 instead of the 300 that was inches away. Of course the sun was directly in my face..so not the best.

Love the humming bird, Jason and the cardinal, Ed.

Walked into my kitchen yesterday and out the back door we (me, my husband and son) noticed a red tail hawk landing on the ground just past the fence.
I caught a glimpse of something under him, so I grabbed my camera and we went outside. I guess we scared the hawk and he/she flew off without anything in his/her talons.
I just knew that hawk had something so we went out to look and found this gopher snake making his great escape.
My husband picked him up to see if he had any injuries and he was pissed off!
He was too fast to get a picture of him trying to strike my husband, but you can see where he has puncture holes.
This guy is going to live to see another day. Lucky for the snake, not so much for the hawk. Sorry hawk.

Didn't your husband understand that he was supposed to pick up the snake again so you could get the picture for your fans on POTN? :p

He did but those shots weren't great because he was holding him behind his head. I also tried to get a shot of him in the grass but he moved way too fast.
I think he'd had enough for the day. My husband was upset that I didn't get a good shot of him holding the snake, but I had the 70-300 lens on and I was focused only on the snake, oops. :-D

Glad the hawk didn't get it. Gopher snakes are good critters.
