Hi all,

This time we'd like to share some recent American Goldfinch images showing various stages of their developing mating plumage in both sexes. We are fortunate to have many Goldfinches here. They are lovely, entertaining birds, and we love to shoot them.

Very nice shots. But #6 really jumps out at me, with the other colors jumping out at me.

There will be days when you get the shot(s) you missed days, months or years before.

Thanks everybody,

We appreciate all your comments. #6 is a favorite for us too... Too bad we had such a cool wet Spring, the Redbud blossoms didn't last but a few days.
