Tell me why you like or dislike this! I see flaws in all of my photos so I like to let a fresh set of eyes take a look. I went on a nature hike with a friend and her daughter and brought the camera to shoot whatever. I tend to shoot more landscapes but I am really starting to like people too. Especially kids! Thank you for looking!

Can you crop it differently so that she has room in front of her?

I thought about it but I went for the original crop. Feel free to mess with it.

I'll have to check when I get home! I believe there was some but I took the shot in portrait orientation.

I like it to a point. I wish her eyes (eye?) were open, and because she's looking down, I keep expecting there to be something on the ground in front of her, but there isn't. Not that there has to be a secondary subject, but my brain keeps thinking something is missing.

I agree. The eyes are one of the things that bug me and one of the reasons I posted the photo. I was wondering what other people would say without my acknowledgement. My own personal excuse to that is that this photo is "in the moment". But its just an excuse :p

Thanks six3onei I do think it helps the photo.

I admit the edit is better BUT I still would still not consider this worth keeping..the eyes shut while walking in what seems an awkward profile pose s/b reason enough but the harsh background seals it.

Brandon..... yes, you probably could consider it high key. If I wanted it high key however, I would go all the way...like this:

QUOTED IMAGE

I know you suggested binning the photo, but with this edit, I'd probably print and hang it.
