Hello everyone :)

I am not sure if I should be posting here or anywhere else, so please excuse me if this is not the right place and move the topic to the most appropriate one.

I have been a portrait photographer for few years now, but I have recently gotten very interested in shooting weddings. Knowing the industry - it is not easy to gather portfolio -unlike with portraiture, where you can just shoot friends - here you have to actually shoot some real weddings. I've spent quite few weeks Googling various sites, forums, but haven't really found any of them to be very helpful in getting to know something I wouldn't already know. Now I am at the stage, where I would actually like to join someone and gain some real life experience.

I hope all the above didn't sound too stupid so far, but is there anyone from UK that is looking for a second shooter right now? I have shot one quite different to English/eastern european wedding on my own so far and can provide some samples of the images I took.

Thank you in advance :)

I would find some UK photographers you like who live close to you and email them asking them if they are looking for a second shooter. When my wife was starting out, she did that and it didn't take long for her to find many wedding photographers who wanted second shooters.

LADY_RHINOA - I thought you might like to know... I tried to visit your website, but your site was flagged by my Google Chrome browser, because of potential malware on your site. I figured you may want to know, just in case potential clients are also blocked.
