I micro adjusted my 70-200 2.8 II on my 7D and it ended up needing +4.

I know the 7D will remember the amount of micro adjust for each lens and apply it to them as you mount that particular lens.

What about if I put my 2x extender on the 70-200. If I micro adjust the 70-200 with the extender attached will the 7D see it as a separate lens, or will it wipe out my previous micro adjust on the 70-200?

It should see your extenders and record them. My 300f2.8 with the 2x on shows up as that on the micro adjust.

Thanks,
I didn't want to mess up the micro adjustment I did on the lens without extender by doing an adjustment with the extender on.

Hopefully it won't need adjusting with the extender.
