1D Mark3 and Apple Aperture - issue with SD card

When I load my SD card on my Mac, and import photos, I always get a pop up, actually 2, asking if I want to delete images after import, and there is a checkbox to eject my SD Card. This used to work as listed; but now it doesn't anymore. I have to reformat the card or I reckon I could "erase images".

I actually like to eject that card, and know the images are gone, so I can move to the next project with full space available.

Any ideas as to what I may be doing that cause this?
