I have these 2 shots and can't decide which one would be best as a metallic print (aluminum not paper) and/or on canvas. sizes would be 11x14 or 16x20 for the Metallic and 16x20 for Canvas

Was wondering what the folks here would suggest.

Agree with everyone above, and also add that I dont think 16x20 is large enough for either of those amazing images.

Do you think 24x30 for the Horseshoe Bend image is a good size?

I think its a much better option. Then again I dont know the space your putting it into. I love LARGE images.

I have found that I don't really like 16x20 size for landscape shots. They work fine for portraits and such, but 16x20 hanging on the wall isn't really very big and doesn't convey the sense of scale the image conveys (if that makes any sense).
I wouldn't go less than 24x30 and I wouldn't be afraid to go 24x36! Bigger is better in these cases IMHO :)

I appreciate everyone's feedback. I ended up ordering #1 (Horseshoe Bend) in 24x30. I live in an apt so going any bigger would have been difficult for the space I have.

Still undecided on #2 though. Will probably wait to see how #1 looks once I get it.

Thanks again.

Agreed. And I like to keep things as close to the native aspect ratio as possible: 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x50, etc. I'm not a fan of a standard 16x20 at all.

Do you guys who have printed at 16 x 24 find that the prints are sharp? Presumably you did or wouldn't be suggesting it, but just want to check. I have an 18 MP camera now, was thinking of trying larger prints.
