Hi,

I'm still on a quest for a RAW converter.
Does anyone know if RAW Therapee behaves well with multiple monitors..

To Whit: Can I un-dock menus and put them on another monitor.

It is painful how many supposed "Graphics Apps" can't handle this simple basic circa 1998 task. In many cases we seem to be going backward with this flexibility.

Anyway, I have not found a good answer re RAW Therapee, and I'm a bit tired of installing trials just to find out this one feature. Would love to know if anyone has used it.

On a similar note, I'd be open to any other "Alternative" (read NOT Lightroom) Raw converters.

what I own already:
Lightroom,
Bibble6 pro (and now trial of Corel Aftershot)
BreezeBrowser
DPP
Capture One (have owned in the past, so could upgrade)

I like some aspects of C1, and really dislike some.
I love lots of aspects of Bibble/Aftershot.
The only real issue I have with Aftershot, is.. guess what?
terrible Dual monitor support! And Bibble 4 or 5 USED TO HAVE IT!
they took it away! (simple dockable toolbars that is)

Thanks in advance.

Tried Silkypix? http://www.isl.co.jp/SILKYPIX/english/ (external link)
I got a copy of (a Raw converter based on) Silkypix with my FujiFilm x100s, and while I haven't really used it, I know it has the option to put all adjustment windows on the second monitor…

I have colleagues who swear by C1, although I don't know if you can move menus across monitors.

I wouldn't use ACDC if they were giving it away, just because of the lack of support and garbage Mac product they had years ago.

PictureCode (external link) has a newish (last year) RAW converter which includes their NoiseNinja action. It seems to be getting good reviews. I downloaded the trial purely for the NN plugin, tried it a couple of times & haven't used it since. I didn't find anything wrong with it, just didn't think having to relearn a new RC workflow was worth access to NN. I don't know what their multiple monitor support is like.

I've been an on and off user of C1 fro a very long time. I have a copy now,. I like it very much, and some of it's multi monitor aspects are great. But it has aspects that drive me crazy.

I'm just getting back into this, and really trying to find the next tool I will use for the next few years.

As for Picture code, the funny thing is, there is a Noise Ninja plug in for my old raw converter of choice, which was Bibble.
Bibble at one time had docking toolbars,. then it didn't! :( It's now owned by Corel, and a lot is the same, but still no good use of dual monitors.
