Thank you Mark :). It's a beautiful part of the world. Bleak, serene and very isolated.

Haha Snowy, it's been called a few choice names I can assure you :D

Thanks Lester.

Yeah I've got the little horror sealed in a bag in the freezer, just in case I start to show any signs of infection / Lymes disease. I did speak with one of our local medical centres and they examined the bite area but said it looks ok at this time however if I start to feel flu like symptoms, aching joints etc. within the next 30 days to see my GP.

I'll be keeping a close eye on myself for sure ;)

This is good info. Ticks are a common issue at my house, and I would hate to go to the doctors every time we pulled off a tick. :D

The perils of hiking and at some points wandering through long grass. I spotted a rather unwanted bug that had hitched a 500 mile ride back to Liverpool from Scotland on my leg :(.

I became well acquainted with these in ROTC in the '70s.

I had a Vivitar 35mm SLR at the time (still have it), but I don't think I got a reverse ring until after I got out of the Army, so no opportunity for good pictures like this.
