Smart phone cameras and software will probably drive the rest out, too.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

No shock there. This has been predicted for a couple of years now. I expect the rest of the low-end P&S cameras from other mfrs will fall by the wayside as well.

I agree. This would be expected in the photography industry nowadays.

Good for them, I think. I can't see any advantages of using P&S below S110 (or similar) range. Nowadays smartphone cameras are simply too good and Instagram does the rest.

The point-and-shoot market has been dying for a long time - ever since smart phone cameras with internet connections took off.

Although I could see a real market if Olympus continued its 'Tough' waterproof and shockproof camera range, introducing an APS-C sensor and inbuilt high-powered flash, for underwater/dive/snorkelling use.

Yep. The high-end P&S cameras will likely survive, as will "tough" ones as mentioned above. That market is rather small, though, so not all the mfrs will be able to make a living there.
