This place is fun. It was snowing this morning, I just scored a used 650 film body with a metal-mount 50mm f/1.8 on it for $70, and we still have a day and a half to go!

This shot was taken with the new (old) lens. This seems to be every bit as sharp as the one I raffled off last year.

That's exactly how I got mine a few years back, only the body was the 630. ;)
I only bought it for the lens, even though the 630 seems to be well built.
Nice photo Tom. :D

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

I like it! Very nice shot.

I had a metal mount 50 as well. It is perhaps the only lens I ever profited from. :)

Thanks. The funny thing is I ended up with appears to be a good body. I haven't run any film through it yet, but everything seems to work, and it only has a couple minor scrapes on it----no major dings. The last time I bought one of these lenses, it was mounted on a nondescript Rebel with a broken lcd. I actually walked out of the pawn shup with just the lens and left the body there as a 'gift.'

What a great vantage point for a yard shot - I like it!

Hey and What, it wasn't cold enough here for you? There is frost here...:D
I've got one of those lenses, paid a bit more and I seem to have gotten less for my money.
You're gonna need to stop and buy some film...

Have a nice trip Tom...Love seeing your travel pix

Wow, doesn't even seem like 23 floors up. Do they have short people in your neck of the woods?

I love the size of that train yard. There's nothing of that sort in NZ

Ahh, you have a good eye. Actually, there is no 13th floor here, so technically, I'm only 22 floors up.

That's a big train yard...love the sprinkling of snow on the mountains.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.
