Canon EOS 350D, Promaster 70-300 macro zoom in macro mode + full set of Promaster extension tubes, Sigma flash with a home made Glad food container diffuser.

The shadows are a little harsh because there was a ceiling lamp hanging right next to the subject. Still not too bad.

I saw him after walking around outside for ten minutes without seeing anything besides a few gnats.

I can't believe how FEW insects I've seen outside, and NOTHING either able to be photographed, or worth bothering with.

Both decent photographs I've gotten were taken inside. And with something on a wall, two feet above your head, your composition options are fairly limited.
