And then he ended up on our deck and flew/hopped over to the neighbors yard!

Thanks for looking

Thank you ... I was very careful not to mess with him to much as he was learning to fly ... I'm quite sure that is already a stressful enough time in the little guys life!

Nope they stayed around most of the afternoon ... gave me a few shots of them too ... it was neat watching him learn to fly .. he hopped up on the deck about an hour after I took the first shots and flew down across to the neighbors yard ... its amazing the instincts these guys are born with!!

Regardless of quality, a great documentary/behavior shot is always great. Well done.

There will be days when you get the shot(s) you missed days, months or years before.

Thank you ... I am working on the quality part as I feel that is mostly practice ...

Love that third shot. We're still a little while out from baby robins up here(near Decorah)-I'd guess 2 weeks or so. Looking forward to it.

You did a fine job documenting this newest generation Steve. I really like the 1st and 3rd images with the surrounding green grass.
Hope your neighbors don't have a cat though.

Play the devil's advocate here-sure you're wishing the birds were sharper. Checking the exif-nothing way out of line there. A random thought-catch myself doing this sometimes, jabbing the shutter button instead of pressing. Like squeezing the gun's trigger, not jerking it. Another thing to try to remember in the heat of the moment! Anyway, a thought.
