A shot I took just before New Years day. C&C welcome. No PS except sharpen and a little saturation boost.

That looks more like an old mill. At least around here something like that would be. Nice shot and looks pretty interesting.

Nice old weathered barns are almost as photogenic as lighthouses.

Well done

It's a great shot. From a personal taste POV I think having something in the foreground and using a good DOF can add a lot to these types of photos. But maybe there wasn't anything there? :-) Now I have to go figure how to do it myself! :-)

I was pretty far from the subject, maybe 200 yards. There was a fence in the foreground but didn't help a whole lot. Decided to go more with the character of the wood versus the surroundings. The thing that gets me about this is it almost looks like a painting versus a photo due to the overcast sky.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.

Beautiful shot. well composed, and the color is good. She doesn't look all that bad as far as old barns go. The ones I take around me are either on the verge off total collapse or are in almost new condition.

That's a great shot Bob. I love old buildings of any type. Barns are pretty special, and you did good on this one.

Disagree colour is better.

The base of the barn---i have seen this on an earlier pic, was this originally a house of some kind? It seems strange they would build stone up a few feet then go to timber.
