I use an Airport Addiction and a Glass Taxi - I really like Think Tank products - very well made and very light to carry. They also have good padding and quality zips. :D

Gear? Don't want my wife seeing how much kit I've got ;)

Thanks for reminding me. Also have a Glass Taxi and a UD40 (but this getting no love right now). Do also use Lowepro Nova 200AW for flash gear storage. Finally, have a few Chimp Cages and Speed Changers and a Digital Holster 50. Quite a fan of TTP stuff

Here are a couple of pics of my Think Tank Street Walker Hard Drive bag, loaded for bear.
The second pic shows the separators I use as covers over the 400 5.6 so I can load my RS dual strap without damaging the lens.

Mark how does the Streetwalker HD work out for hiking?

Also how do you like that combo of lenses? ( 400 + 70-300 ) I am thinking of doing the same thing with my 60D and 5d2. Curious why you don't put the 400 on the crop.

Hiking? You mean up mountains and stuff? Not this old fart. Bad knees, worse feet. But I do strap it on all the way for the hike up from the local reservoir. The parking lot is way up a hill. It's not bad for that relatively short hike. The weight distributes nicely and the straps don't dig in.

I tend to use the 400 5.6 with the 1.4x TC a lot, which bumps the minimum aperture to f8. The 6D focuses quickly and accurately at f8, whereas the 7D is hit-or-miss. I also find that the ability to crop images with the FF outweighs the crop factor of the 7D, mostly due to the higher ISO capability of the 6D. I have no scientific evidence to back up that claim, it's just my gut feeling. Plus the 70-300L on the 7D comes in handy when the birds fly right at me or overhead. The 7D tracking really shines then and the 70-300L allows better framing.

Makes sense with the lenses. With the 70-300L I go back and forth between my 5d2 and 60D. The extra reach is nice but the 5d2 gives cleaner files. I'll get a 5d3 when I do upgrade and I plan to get a 400L at some point this year too.

WIth the pack, It does not seem like an ideal hiking pack. The pro would probably be better. I too have a lot of TT bags but I have $100 gift card for TT and I could use some type of backpack. Thanks for posting the pics.

It's not really a good hiking backpack. I think that's where the Street Walker part comes in. More for city use. There's no good place to store stuff besides camera gear, so things like food and water and rain gear and so on would be a problem.

Here is my Streetwalker HD, had it going on 2 years now. This is my standard baseball kit. I also shoot 5k's and marathons, but the 300 isn't included for those shoots. This pack is strong, no ripping on the straps, and it gets pretty darn heavy with the baseball kit. The side where the flash is does bulge, but it zips up just fine.

For an upcoming trip to Germany this summer, I wanted a backpack that will hold my gear without being "too" cumbersome. Currently I have the Think Tank Airport Accelerator and the Think Tank Sling-O-Matic 30. This is my go to flying configuration as both in a combination will fit overhead and underneath on commercial flights, puddle jumpers can be a different story.
For years I had my eye on a Streetwalker Harddrive, only to buy something else thinking it may be too small to carry my needs.
Boy am I surprised not only how much it can hold but at how comfy too.
I have one 7D Gripped with 70-200 f/2.8 L IS attached with hood in shooting position, reversed makes it wider and more stress on zippers. Additional 7D gripped on its side on right side of bag with narrow compartment with 600EX-RT in carry case below on right as well. 10-22, 17-55, 24-105(depending if needed) along with ST-E3 Transmitter and other be necessities like CF Cards, batteries, chargers and the likes. Unfortunately most likely will not bring MacBook Pro and external drive as time constraints will not give me much time if any to upload, however does lighten up the load.
Hopefully this bag compared to my Accelerator will prevent me from bopping too many locals as I walk about the cities and villages Germany has to offer.

Canon 5D Mark III (x2), BG-E11 Grips, Canon Lenses 16-35 f/4 L IS, 17-40 f/4 L, 24-70 f/4 L IS, 70-200 f/2.8 L IS II, 70-200 f/4 L IS, 70-200 f/4 L IS Version II, 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 L IS Version II, TS-E 24 f/3.5 L II, 100 f/2.8 L Macro IS, 10-22 f3.5-4.5, 17-55 f/2.8 L IS, 85 f/1.8, Canon 1.4 Extender III, 5 Canon 600 EX-RT, 2 Canon ST-E3 Transmitters, Canon PRO-300 Printer
