An interesting post. Although, I'm sure I could easily collect plenty of shots that were ruined by guests. Case in point, it's not as bad as the pictures look. She even admits the one photo was four years old.

If she truly had issues with guests, she'd put a note about it in her contract. Unfortunately, she forgot to include any mention of a contract in her post. Anyways, enough criticism; it's good content nonetheless.

At the same time I've been the victim of bad wedding photographers as a wedding guest. So very much a two way street.

One the photographer was late. I took my seat in an excellent location with a great view of where the happy couple would be. That is it was a great view until the photographer showed up. My view for the service was then the back of a very nice and large reflector umbrella, and since the venue was already rather packed and the service starting, I didn't have much of a chance to relocate.

Multiple weddings involved a photographer standing in front of the couple snapping away photos for the duration, meaning most of us attending got to see the back of some stranger instead of the married couple's first kiss. Sure, the photos were great, but why did I just drive six hours to not see the actual wedding?
