I recently was handed down two lenses, a Nikon Nikkor 35-80mm f4-5.6D and a Sigma 28-80mm F3.5-5.6D, both I understand are used on old 35 mm film cameras. I own a Canon 60d and is only familiar with using one vintage lens: Pentax 50mm 1.7, which is very dandy if I might say so myself. I usually am extremely satisfied with the results.

It might sound rather rookie and noobie and all but, I was wondering if it these two lenses were worth buying an adapter for and using it on my body, and if so, where is this adapter available at? I know it might be an odd question but, from what I read, using old glass on a DSLR can actually be a big money saver. Thanks for any replies and answers in advance! Let me know what you think about old glass.

You can get nikon-EOS adapters, I wouldn't think it's worth it for those lenses.

We have a great MF thread if you wanna share your 50mm samples:

I have the old Sigma 28-80 f/3.5-5.6 (EOS mount). It's not worth the time it takes to mount it on your camera. To give a comparison, it's worse than the Canon 75-300. Gritty, soft, muddy, slow. And it's one of those old third party lenses that is not DSLR friendly.

You can get a cheap Nikon-EOS adapter to see whether you like the lenses. Fifteen dollars isn't exactly breaking the bank.
