Hey,

Just upgraded my 40d to a 6d, love it so far! But my 17-55 f2.8 doesn't fit anymore, it's sad cause I loved that lens. Anyhow, I need to replace it.

I have the nifty nifty - 50 f1.8 and the 24-105 f4L.

I mainly shoot cars, portraits and I’ll be doing some weddings. I’d like something fast and below 2k please, hehe.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Lol, yeah I guess if I sell the 17-55 and the 24-105 I could buy the 24-70 :P

Probably my best choice for now.

If your going to shoot weddings, like I tell everyone who is going to shoot weddings, my go to lens is the 70-200mm f/2.8 IS. You can get the mark I for less than $2k and keep the 50 and 24-105.

Hopefully, you kept the 40D for a backup and once you round out your glass, if you don't already have flash, I recommend working on getting some next.

Yeah, kept the 40d as a back up and I have flash :)

I look around for a 70-200.

Tamron 24-70 and 70-200 both f2.8 with VC. Read the reviews and check the prices.
