I think people are missing the point....Congrats on the new 500 II!!! I expect lots of pictures on the lens sample photo thread :D

After looking high and low in USA and trying to get price matches I ended up purchasing my lens from Allen's Camera in PA. Price was $9974.00 plus shipping. Bottom line I saved $400.

I have to say, that it has us at Adorama perplexed; that is well below cost!

I'm just getting a comfort level with the lens. Ended up getting a Wimberley SideKick, I really like because I don't have to have 2 tripods now and it works great.
