Beautiful shots. Do 5 and 6 require hiking (or a long walk)? I plan to be there on Memorial day weekend.

thanks. 5 is probably the most iconic view of the valley. its called the tunnel view, and its off of highway 41, and requires zero hiking.
6 is mirror lake, and it does require hiking, albeit its an easy hike. its about 1.6 miles total from Curry village, or if you take the bus to stop 17, its 1.3 miles.
Memorial day will be insane. take some Bug spray with you as I was chewed out by mosquito.
although I took a collection of lenses. the 24-105 on the 5d3 was my far and away most used lens. It was nice to use the 24 tse lens, esp in bodie, as well as yosemite valley to shoot the tall monuments.

You're right, Memorial day or any long weekend is too crowded. I just found out I couldn't reserve a room anywhere near the park. They're all fully booked. July 4th weekend is no different. No vacancy.

WOW! Those are great. Will also be in this area next week and am afraid the park will be packed with people right after Memorial Day. Hope I can get shots half as good as yours. Am really looking forward to the trip.

Very nice series. Hit the same spots a few years ago. A trip I will never forget. Amazing places.
