Visiting Arizona, I'm hopeful of getting some glorious sunsets. These don't quite meet my expectations, but they're not bad. The first was along the Colorado River in Parker (neat!). The second was in Lake Havasu City.

These are nice. I especially like the colors on the second one. I think that using a strong ND filter and stopping down a bunch could make this type of shot pretty cool if you could get cloud movement to streak the sky.

Thanks for looking and commenting. I'll be in AZ and UT for several months, so there should be ample opportunity for sunsets and sunrises.

Stan, like Willie Nelson, you are "On the road again". Nice shots, I can't wait to see the ones that do meet your expectations.

Hi Stan....nice sunsets, the colours and (the at least five) vapour trails of the second make it my favourite.

Thanks again everyone. One thing we've noticed about this area is the large number of jet vapor trails overhead. This must be the crossroads of America the way these trails appear so frequently and criss-cross each other. Maybe they just show up better here, due to low humidity or something.

We missed connections. I passed around Phoenix last week. (Even though I have friends in Scottsdale, I prefer not to drive the moterhome into that buzz saw.)
