If you offer images to your clients on cd or flash drive, do you specify/recommend where they should have them printed?

I was just thinking that all your effort in making the best image possible could be quickly trashed if printed at the local drug store. :)

It is because of this reason that I don't offer full-res digitals. I offer small (usually 800px on the long edge) files that they could upload to Facebook or email to friends/family as they wish... but this is only for the files that they have purchased prints of. I figure in most cases the client wants to share their favorites, not the ones they don't like.

Can they get a 4x6 out of that file, sure. But an 8x10 and larger isn't going to turn out looking so great (particularly in comparison to the full-res).

I use manual exposure settings on the copy machine

Those that are willing to pay for the files, yes I recommend the consumer division of my pro lab. I also tell them that I cannot be held responsible for how the files print due to differences in printers.

I recommend places if they ask. I can't stop them from picking the worst printer in the city. I think they know what a good print looks like though. Some clients prefer me to print even though they purchased the digital files. Either they don't want the hassle of doing it themselves, and/or they want it done the right way. That and I do additional retouching for prints and guarantee the end result.

I recommend printers, but they go to Walgreens anyway.
