Whatever it is, the image is definitely photoshopped. Lens text is jerky, lens is in wrong perspective related to body.

Perhaps planted by Leica to throw folks off and dampen expectations.

Who would buy this camera? No one in their right mind, I would hope.

Zzzzzzz

That's 2 cameras in a row that Leica has released/announced that have been total WTFs.

Can you please explain what you don't like about the new M? I've got one on order and maybe there's a feature you don't like? :) Is it the new CMOSIS sensor? I've seen samples at 6400 and it's impressive.

Some say the new M CMOSIS sensor has cleaner color, is sharper and has is slightly better at 3200 ISO than the Nikon d800. There are going to be those that say its not, its the glass that make the new Leica M sing but either way its still pretty impressive to be comparing a 24mp camera wit ha 36mp camera and the 24 really holding its own and the bonus, its a rangefinder. Theres a lot of stuff on the camera I would rather live without and I'm hoping that Leica creates a new M-E no FPS, no video, not auto exposure just a stripped down M kinda like the present day M-E only with the CMOSIS sensor.

BTW I love my M Monochrom.

I'm happy with that assessment. I had a feeling this new sensor would rock out of the box. :) I can honestly live w/o certain features in the new M and use it as a RF. Screw video! ;)

I was really impressed with Steve Huff's review. He posted a shot with the 50
Summilux at f1.4 and my jaw dropped!

Out of interest, can anyone say how much dynamic range the new Leica has? I've got so used to my D800e's DR but would love to have an M :)

Thanks :)

I gotta tell ya once you start shooting with Leica glass you are ruined :lol:

The 35lux FLE is sharper at the corners than the 35L is in the center....And the bokeh is some of the best I've seen form a wide angle lens. I'm actually thinking about picking up a 50 cron because of its qualities. You can sometimes find'm for under a grand. If you can get your hands on a 35 1.4 lux double asph they are much sought after. If you bought one new you made one heck of an investment

If things work like I'm hoping maybe within two years I will be all Leica M. I think I hve the 200 2L sold when I get ready. Won't get much for my 5DIIs though. :(

BWAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA....if this is true:

"On the front is a permanently attached Leica Elmar 28-70mm (35mm equivalent) f/3.5-6.4 lens."

What an exciting lens on a $3,000+ camera!!!

I shall continue to sneer, scoff and snicker at anything Leica brings out!
