I just went to a couple of my favorite lens distributors as I am really close to pulling the trigger on the above lens. But I noticed that on at least one site, the lens is listed as discontinued? The IS/USM version is still listed, but not the non.
It looks like I could still get the version overseas, but not the US version. I hope this is not true. Or I will just have to rely on the used market.

Still listed by Canon on their website, and currently sold with an $80 rebate. Check B&H, which has it listed as in stock.

I know about the USM. I was just worried that I was SOL on the lens since I saw it listed as Discountinued. It looks like my fears were unwarranted, THANKFULLY.
