How would you photograph 200+ people?

How would you photograph over 200+ family member as a group? They want their family photo done at the park.

Wow, thats a lot of people, gonna have to have a few rows deep, and some room to work with. Lighting that many people will be a problem too.

Can you get well overhead?

I'd rent a lift. You need to be up high to get faces in a group that large.

1. Use a tripod, easier to swap heads afterwards.
2. Get a bullhorn so everyone can hear you.
3. Either get up high, or shoot on a steep hill or steps so you can graduate people.
4. Have some big lights!

LOL.. Definitely out of the questions. That's just too much work.

I have a 8 feet ladder, but I doubt it's going to work.

Using natural light. It's going to be around 8AM in the morning at the park.

Actually my memory cards is worth more then what she's paying me. So renting a lift is out of the question and budget. LOL.

Then get a ladder and go as high as you can. Try to get them on a hillside, or some sort of amphitheater sort of arrangement.
