I've been blessed with a few of these in my backyard this spring. They've been a lot of fun. I love when they sit in my flowering crab apple tree. It won't stay pretty and pink for long.

Very nice. I really like the second shot. The blossoms never last long enough!

They must like you better-mine only stayed for 1 day. And my "grabbed" shots didn't look near as good as yours. Very well done.

I've been at this residence 3 years now and this is the first time the orioles have stayed more than a day. They must be quite numerous locally because it's really hard to find grape jelly right now.

The first shot was a grab shot and cropped heavily, but though I had a few liked, I didn't have any I REALLY liked. A couple days ago I set my blind up late afternoon and waited until 1 landed in a pretty spot and shot him.

They're still around but with dark and rainy weather hanging around all weekend, I doubt I'll even pick up the camera. :( Unfortunately, the blossoms are already starting to fall. Even though I like "clean" shots of birds, I still prefer the environmental shots as long as the environment adds to the overall photo.

Thanks for the comments.

Thanks Flo.

I also have an adult male Orchard Oriole hanging around lately but until things get brighter around here, there is no point in picking up the camera. Hopefully, he'll stick around long enough. The forecast doesn't sound promising for quite some time.
