Found this little guy this morning. I knew they relied on their hiding skills when Momma's not around but had never seen it before. If I had wanted to I probably could have picked it up and taken it home. Pictures are good enough though.-and they don't have to be fed.

Great shots, they sure can hide. If it only knew that now the whole world can see it.

ohhh sweet!

Great capture there.

While on a small walk our dog ran up to one like that.

If it would of run...my dog would of taken it down....I think.
however it just laid there and my dog just stood looking at it.

I also got some pics...and I was amazed how small it was...it seemed so relaxed not scared at all.

My horse nearly stepped on one when I was out riding a long time ago. From what I remember, they are taught not to move when they are left alone, no matter what happens. Also, they have no smell or scent when they are very young. Cute little fawn!

Great photo!!

Whitetail fawns have a built in defensive mechanism .... known as no scent ... they have no odor after they are born ... thats why you very rarely will every see a mom WITH a newborn fawn ... usually within earshot ...

While at the farm my buddy about ran over one it let an awefull bellow ... he got some pretty neat pictures with his phone and they rove away ... I am sure momma was close by freaking out!!

Thanks for the comments-would have liked to have gotten more pics, but Momma was in sight, wanted to keep the stress level down for both of them.
