Water Drops

After seeing LordV's water drops pictures, and because i still cant find any bugs :( , I thought i would give the water drops a go. Here are the best results, still nowhere near LordV's quality :)
The DOF is not there, what do you all think?:D

I like no 2. No 1 is a great catch of the crown, just needed bit more DOF (appreciate this is diff in order to set fast shutter speed ;))

the settings were:
1/250 f/8 ISO 200
I had my Sigma Lens at about 100mm with the 13 + 21mm extension rings on.

Nice pics, but I have a few coments. As you said, the DOF is NOT there :( , and the sharpness isn't that great eather. The exposure is good and the colors are nice:D .
Keep working on it and you will improve (my garuanty:D )

Thanks for the comments, I will keep at it and am thinking of other liquids to use.
Milk, Glucose, something a bit thicker than water but not too thick.

I did do a second session but the colours were not as good, i had a blue background. Not as good as the biscuit wrapper i had. Must remember to buy another packet of biscuits.:) I also used a wraper from Fry's Turkish Delight:D nice colour to that.
