As always, superb work. KUDOS.

I like all three, although I prefer 2 (the best of the lot, in my opinion) and 3 to 1. I think you've captured a great range of tones and colour, although the lighting does bother me a little, as the harsh shadows of that time of the day aren't the most flattering.

As for the colour/B&W debate, while I adore black and white, personally I think most landscapes work better in colour, and in the case of these three shots, I don't think that a mono process would really do anything for them that you haven't already achieved.

On a side note, the Brushscript font you use as a watermark really isn't the best choice of font. It's a font that I'd associate with cheap businesses. I know this is a really off topic remark, but you might want to consider a more stylish font.

I guess it depends on what kind of photos you usually shoot. If you mostly do landscape and nature stuff, then a thin serif font looks pretty nice. Something timeless like Garamond or Optima.

However, if you're more of an all rounder type photograher, then something modern and minimalist would work, especially non serif fonts. Something like Helvetica (although not necessarily Helvetica itself, which is a very over-used font, but it has a simplistic, minimalist style which is shared by many other fonts) or Avenir, or possibly something like Gill Sans or Myriad.

Its not really a debate. They both have their place. The reason many large format landscape photographers use the B&W film and the zone system is control and being able to interpret the scene instead of making a factual representation which is more or less what you have to do with color negative or transparency film.

I have yet to see any work of Yosemite as powerful as Adams work in the portfolio and book "Yosemite and the Range of Light" color or B&W.

Thats doesn't mean I haven't seen work that is good taken there in both color and B&W.

Great pictures. The view from #1 & #2 never gets old. Love Yosemite. #2 is an excellent example that you do not need to wait for sunset/sunrise to shoot great pictures. The blue sky contrasts beautifully with the green colors. Well done!
