That seems pretty close. I'm surprised they would bring them in like that.

The guy in the front plane probably got it on the mat......'giddy up...giddy up...

I suspect there is some telephoto compression; it also appears that the turboprop plane used very little runway for its size.

I had the tremendous fortune of flying on HB-JNA, Swiss Air's first 777-300ER, a little over a month ago. At ZRH, it's possible to pay 5 CHF to go to the roof observation platform, which I gladly did. (What a cool idea for an airport!)

The weekend after, I flew to Barcelona and on the way back was surprised to fly on D-AIUQ, Lufthansa's first A320neo. (Unlike the 77W trip, I didn't plan this flight to be on this plane.)

And perhaps one of my favorite photos. Both airlines here were launch customers for Boeing's newest two jets, but UA launched the 777 and ANA, the 787. It's exactly opposite here!

Had no idea! I had never heard of them until I saw them standing up there at ZRH while we taxied in. Is a bummer that back in the US more airports don't have it; that deck was worth it.
