I don't care for the black parts, but the image is fantastic :-)

Michiel>=-

I left the black parts for my instagram account :-P

as long as its square ratio, the image preview is the same as the whole image hence the reason I post 1:1 format on this board :lol:

I agree. Killer image otherwise. In fact, I might even take out the ILS and light post....leave just the plane.

I wouldn't take anything out, even the black parts. I like how this image is all about black and orange contrast.

Beautiful!!!

Nice image!
I'll sometimes crop to "not standard" aspect ratios because 1) the image looks better. & 2) to discourage non-clients from being able to print them easily.
And sometimes to isolate them from a white screen background, although our forum software does a nice job on that.

I had a planned shot to kind of "frame" the plane in between the lines, otherwise a few feet to the left and the plane would be perfectly centered, however it's not.

I did remove power lines at the bottom of the image as is. Second try not possible, 3-4 hours later would be the next airbus arrival based on my research, and that would be harsh light be that time (shot was taken around 7am, plane was delayed as is). I literally made the trip for this single shot, and the landing shot, which I botched, since I tried to get a direct overhead shot +3EV to give a minimalistic shot, but 70mm was too narrow! Due to the fencing, I had to run about 10 yards north for the landing shot, while swapping my settings back. and missed my landing by 2-3 seconds :-(

it's ok though, I plan on doing landing another day during sunset, might have to wait till daylight savings to end to get something good, still researching. Anyhow, to get an idea of how close this landing spot is, I have a shot @24mm, just ordinary passenger plane, not airbus.

I could really use some help on this one - any tips or suggestions for post?

I was really lucky with the angle, and the lighting but unfortunately there is way too much distortion/ghosting from the window I was shooting through. Is it recoverable?

I thought about turning it into a painting, but would prefer a sharpened photo.

Probably not. The front 2/3rds of the Triple is a little out of focus and I don't think you can undo that. Any idea what FL this 777 was cruising at, 'cause for a 135mm lens the details are pretty good.
