Played around with this image since the original light was a bit flat.
Converted the image to B&W via Channel Mixer then added some colour back in.
What do you think ?!
Does it work ?!

Definately works for me. I'd like to see it in B+W

For some reason, my eye keeps bouncing back and forth between the top of the lighthouse, and the reflection of the top of the lighthouse. And, that distracts me no end from what is otherwise a great image,

Works for me. Makes for a very dramatic image. Nicely done.

Works for me too - has a very 'close in' feeling to it. Like an oppressive storm.

Dramatic indeed, the rock formations certain draw the eye to the lighthouse.

You bet, it works! This is the best lighthouse pic I have seen since the ones from Philip Plisson (a famous French marine photographer).
Scotland is really amazingly beautiful. I want to go back there since I proposed to my wife at Loch Ness almost 2 years ago :)

Thanks for the comment Neville.
What exactly distracts you about the reflection ?
I have my own ideas but I don't want to influence others.

That's a nice photo and treatment Cameron. One thing that struck me was that the lighthouse looks slightly tilted backwards. I can't decide whether it truly is or not as the left side looks perfectly vertical, but the right side gives the impression that it is tilted. Is it just an illusion or an artefact of the lens used?
