It looks REALLY nice, and I feel like I am about to get really wet when I look at it - moody and nice :)

That's a nice photo and treatment Cameron. One thing that struck me was that the lighthouse looks slightly tilted backwards. I can't decide whether it truly is or not as the left side looks perfectly vertical, but the right side gives the impression that it is tilted. Is it just an illusion or an artefact of the lens used?

That's a very valid point John.
I used the 17-40 @17 so had to straighten the verticals.
I stupidely straightend the left hand vertical of the lighthouse and, although it's not a typically shaped lighthouse, the vertical on the right is out.
Thanks for that John.

I wasn't really sure about that as it looked like the lighthouse could have been built that way. I've certainly had fun and games attempting to PS a building straight again, and it can be a frustrating process.

As far as I can remember, and without going back to the original shot, it wasn't your typical ( both sides leaning in equally ) lighthouse.
But straightening the left side without regard to the right has caused this problem.
Thanks again John. :)

Cameron,
Looks like your side of the lighthouse had worse weather than mine:confused:

I take it you used a CP for depth/clarity in the water? ;)

I have to agree with all of the comments you've had so far and rightly deserved, I cannot add anything else other than excellent work in PS.

Certainly shows that if you give two artistic people the same subject they will both produce different work. Well done Cameron.

Enjoy:p

Thanks Dimitri but....... Lowland Scots ain't your third.

I'm just curious, is there a lowland Scots and a highland Scots? Is that like our Southern and Northern parts of the States?

Back off, Dimitri is a good guy ;) , and your shot is pretty damn good too. I'm starting to think there is a conspiracy here. The Scots are taking this forum over. Does George Bush need to be concerned? You know he will attack if necessary. The beautiful Scottish countryside could be turned into rubble. We will stop that highland, lowland thing you have going on there.

Oops, this is not political. (Take note moderators!) I'm just jealous that every lovley landscape that I have seen here lately is from Scotland. It's not oil, but it sure is photographic.

Nice shot lomand. . . . just kidding about coming over there and taking control. :D

Hi Cameron,
What a beautiful shot, so glad you and David found time to take some pictures as well as getting newted?

I can only mention that I find the water a bit bright and it catches my eye rather than lead it to the lighthouse. But I'm only jealous that you both take better pictures than me.:p :p

Regards

Trevor
