In the pink...

Not sure what these are but found some clusters just above the waterline in a shallow pond. Someone said these are snail eggs but have not be able to verify.

Could not get too many shots due to my precarious bent way over position.

Thanks Brian. Pretty amazing considering the size of each egg. If I had known would have returned daily to check progress and maybe try to get hatching shots. Maybe on the next Asia trip.

Seems more likely that they are the eggs of an apple snail from reply on camel

But I am not so sure now.

My pics look almost identical to the pic you referenced. Snail eggs on the other hand are identical only in colour.

How to get definitive answer?

Wait until they hatch?

That is certainly one option.

But they probably have already hatched. Even if there are new ones around it will take a 16 hours flight to get there.

Will re-visit the place next time I am in that part of the world.
