I went to the local photography shop and picked u pthose exact extension tubes (about six years ago). One thing about them, they seem to work with every lens, without a problem, unlike some other sets from other manufacturers.

If possible borrow someone's extension tubes.

I owned kenko's for a good 3 yrs. I used them 4x ??
In my application I do not regret one second buying a dedicated macro lens. If your very creative and have patience the macro "tubes" can do some wonders.

I found them to be extremely frustrating and cumbersome. They are not "automatic" as advertised.
