Made my mind up to go 600EX RT's , then along came a good deal on more Bowens 500Rs.
So I need to save some of the budget earmarked for the 600's.
If I went with the 560III, I understand the 7D's on-board flash will trigger the YN 560III.
The question is will the pre focus assist beam [the blitzing effect] prematurely trigger the YN 560 III. or does setting S2 stop that happening. Similarly could the YN 560 III handle me running the existing 430 Mk II in ETTL mode OCF, and the focus assist beam. i.e. will S2 handle that?
Likewise can I use the YN 568 with the 7 D? does it work just like the 430 EX II
[I.e. optically fired , HSS, ETTL2, Manual and remotely controlled from the camera?
Similarly will the focus assist beam screw up the YN's
OR
Temporarily, would I be better of just getting another one 430 EX II to match the current one; and bear with the optical triggers. Could always use YN 622s if it was unbearable.
Then I get HSS, ETTL control setting from the camera, and they say the guide no. is in reality just a tiny bit less than the YN 568! Only draw back on the 430 is Optical Line of sight
Long term is to get 2 x 600 EX RT's plus the ST-E 3 Mk II when the idiots realise we need a focus a assist beam on the trigger.
