There is a pair of White-tailed kites at my local park that have chicks. I don't know how many, but I can hear the screeching from the top of the eucalyptus that they live in. The other day I witnessed a fabulous aerial ballet while one of the parents would go out and hunt, and return to the area of their tree and hand off the hapless mouse for the other to take back and feed the young ones with. This series was taken with my 1D4 with the 100-400L.
1. The female(?) spots the male heading toward the nest with a mouse, and flies out to greet him and receive it. What follows is some amazing flying:
