Last year, the male common yellowthroat was my nemesis. I went several days to take pics of him but always lucked out.But yesterday I had better luck because there quite a few of them foraging and I just stood in a thick bush, waited for about an hour until 1 perched right in front of me. The moment he heard the camera clicked he was gone but I was able to get a couple of nice ones. I wish Canon and Nikon will develop an ultra quiet camera and lens :)

This young marsh wren played hide and seek with me until I was able to get a clear picture. The wren was always under the bushes or trees and it took me about an hour again to get these pictures. I was hoping it would perch to a branch with nice background but did not cooperate this time.

Very nice, most of the cameras have a silent mode. I don't know how silent that is though.

Those are all really great shots, but that first yellowthroat pose is killer; well done!

Fantastic jo!
I think both Yellowthroat captures are simply wonderful. What a colorful guy, and it's readily apparent you were being watched in the 2nd capture which makes that one my favorite.
What an itty bitty the Wren is with all it's fluff & stuff! Good luck getting that one out in the open especially as a kid. The 1st capture is the best and I think the branches add to the aura of the little guy. Well done!

Unfortunately 2n, "silent" is a relative term that means not very silent :(
