So I am taking the step in buying a more capable monitor rather than my 1080p LG TV ha.

My photography is taking the next step and colour management is becoming my issue (mainly white balance and tints/hues etc...the small things for the perfect picture).

I have been looking at the Dell U2713H and HM models. The H at about £100 more seems the much better option as it covers a ridiculous gamut (100% sRGB and 99% aRGB), has a decent 6ms response time (I do play games) and a whacking 2056px resolution at 16:9.

I do have a spyder 3 elite to calibrate it to the 6500k and 2.2 gamma rather than rely on the factory settings.

But...does anyone have one? Thoughts? Good value at £520?

Thanks for any help :)

I have two HMs and a Spyder 4. They calibrate nicely and the software shows it covering 100% sRGB. Do you really need more than that unless you're using a 100% aRGB workflow? My displays are already showing colors I can't print.

Would the expense not be worth it?
I may end up sending photos to pro labs in the next year and they surely use the more vivid/saturated aRGB space? I have started doing odd events such as small weddings and portraiture.
Granted, most of my photos will be sRGB for the web (my nightlife and events work)...but I do not want to kick myself further down the line if I end up not being able to give a great print of someones wedding shot and charge for the pleasure?

Or is my thinking out of order? Is an sRGB print pretty much the same in terms of depth etc. as an aRGB print?
