(Roughly) How long of an exposure would I get on my 650D?
I might try some start trails later this summer.

Obviously have the screen off. In cold weather 90 minutes might be a stretch. With anything in the way of a sliver of a moon or more, exposure will be down around 10 to 15 minutes. Anything more than that and the sky will blow out; likewise with any street or ambient light from a shopping center or housing development.

What would happen if the battery died mid exposure? Would it save an image still? I don't believe so. At the end of that exposure it still has to save it to the card and it needs power for that. 6D/50D/350D with too many lenses
