FROM the lens, not OF the lens :D

Although, I have to admit curiosity...What is the third position of the Focus Preset switch? It looks like the settings are "Off", "On" and "Audible"...???

Hmm I have not read the manual  Will check.

It just controls whether or not the camera makes a beeping sound when the preset focus distance is achieved.

And here I thought it was a setting for when you TELL the lens to focus! :D

Some interesting new items on those switches.

AF-PF-MF - Pre Focus? You have to flick the switch manually?

2 - 6m focus distance? Only that range?

Stabilizer mode 3?

Please read the manual and fill me in.

PF is power focus- it's a video thing.

mode 3 only turns on stabilization at the moment you press the shutter.

those two I know...

Here are my samples! Shot with a 1DX both from lensprotogo.com

Sorry for the big photos, but I want everyone to see the crazy detail!

All of these were shot @3200 iso wide open with the 1.4x extender except the one I noted. I cropped that image to the same bird size to show the bokeh differences.

Benjamin- those are some superb shots.....!

My initial impression is the lens is sharper than what I thought it was going to be - your shots look wonderful. What's your feelings at this point re: lens sharpness and other handling characteristics?
