Thanks for the sharing. Terrible to hear, but with the serial numbers hopefully he can recover some of the equipment. I have to ask though, why would a camera store not have any surveillance cameras? is that the definition of ironic?

interesting. they probably know how to unload this stuff without notice. high end camera equipment isn't the easiest thing to flip. and flipping them at lowball prices locally will attract attention.

I wouldn't be surprised if this stuff goes overseas.

Why does he need to wait for items to arrive? He should have stock of additional items in the store. It's not like what is displayed are his only items because that would mean whoever is buying, is getting the demo item.

And seriously? No surveillance camera at a electronics store?

That one surprised me. Small price to pay to cover a lot of merchandise - not to mention other liability issues in the store.

Most likely an inside job. Theives go in take what they want, then trip the alarm after everything is already long gone so virtually no chance of getting caught when the police arrive.

I'd imagine their insurance company would REQUIRE a surveillance system.

Yes, my thought as well. It has probably already been dispatched far away via FedEx/UPS. They knew what they were after so won't be stupid-enough to try the eBay or CL route.
