I know, like so many others. But still, I always love to hear other peoples opinions. So here goes: you can see my current line-up in my sig. Recently sold my 70-300L because I figured I don't need the reach all that often to justify keeping it (although it's a great lens) and brought back the Sigma 35/1.4 to the shop due to having AF issues with two copies (although I would love to have a good copy).

So I now have about € 1.100 to spend on extra gear. I am not a nature photographer, so don't need a lot of reach. I do tend to take a lot of shots of my kids, and paid photowork usually involves portraits and some (minor) landscaping/travel stuff.

As of now, the lens I would love to have most is the Sigma 35/1.4 but since I had AF issues with two copies on both my 7D/5DIII I am a bit reluctant to try it again, although since the USB dock is available, I might risk it anyway.

Any other options you would recommend considering my current lineup and shooting style?

Mainly low light photography without flash, and pics with a very narrow dof. That, and a nice wide lens like the 17-40L. Also, I maybe should be looking into some ND filters and a polarizer; since I don't havy any of these and nil experience with them either.
