I am enroute to Honolulu (will be there for a week and a day) and I have just realized I forget both LC-E6 at home. I won't be able to charge either my 5D2 or 7D without one!!!

Currently enroute to Chicago and will be there this afternoon and tomorrow; flying out to HNL Monday morning early. Please advise on what to do!!!

Hi, I would take a look at the phone book, Chicago, and Honolulu, for a camera store, and buy what you need there. If none is available try ordering from B&H and get overnight shipping. I'm sure there will be some available in Chicago. Enjoy your trip.

Camera stores and Best Buy should have them. Go check them out. If nothing else then your other option is shipping to Honolulu. I was just at Honolulu and there are Best Buys around but I haven't been in one. I haven't really found a camera store but then again, I'm not really looking either.

Now is likely a good time to go through your gear and see what else you've forgotten. Have your memory cards?

Unlock Android Smartphone>Tap GoogleMaps>Tap Search>Tap microphone>Say clearly 'Camera store'>

Observe little screen get flooded with results, from CVS pharmacy selling cheap cameras to genuine specialty stores...

I am sure i-Phone users can ask the concierge-thingy app...:D

Its amazing that here in Canada you can not buy the charger for that camera at Best Buy. They have some 3rd party one that destroys the battery. Only place to get them is at camera stores and the cost about 60$ CAD. Oh well, better buy the OEM than others I guess.

It's kinda hard to stay grounded and level headed when you're travelling with 3 kids and 7 pieces of luggage :) The logistics of situating the family and then traipsing around Chitown on a Saturday in summer was just not appetizing. Especially when I saw the prices at B&H and the overnight fees to HI :)

Also checked ebay and saw some better deals but the price was crazy with overnight shipping. The bottom line was that fact that I have two of these at home, and the cost of a silly mistake was just too high. Fortunately I used the link by vorlon1 and called the first mom and pop sounding place and they guy there after some thinking said he'd charge $25 for the 8 days. It was nice of him to do that since he didn't have any separates; he took it out of his body packages (that he rents) because he said the chances of all his bodies being rented in the next 8 days was low. All in all, a very nice thing to do, I'd say. Nice big store too; cool equipment as well. All kinds of AV equipment and I touched a carbon fiber tripod that made me drool. Oh well ... someday ...

RHChan84, we are at the Hilton Village at the edge of Waikiki; where are you at? I'll try to hook up with you if time allows. Are you on a shooting trip or a family vacation? Even though I got the wife and kids, I am going to try and negotiate time for for sunrises and sunsets.

Thanks again guys for helping with the freakout :)

We left Waikiki two day ago. We are going to three different islands to explore Hawaii.
Maui is a different island from Waikiki but a good time. We are doing the road to Hana Tuesday which should be beautiful.

At Waikiki, check out Sealife park (40 mins from the Hilton, I believe.) theres not too much to do there but it's really the drive that is amazing. Great views and spend time there for sunsets.
