Thanks for the info John .. should have thought about HI earlier. It's such a big destination, there's bound to be rentals there. I was too consumed with getting it before I got there.

Hey, we all freak out; especially when it's a trip you've been planning in minute detail for sometime :)

Still, good to know; I might use them yet.

You might be able to rent some underwater stuff; otherwise go to a local Walmart and buy a few underwater throw aways for the kids. When you get them processed request the images be burned to a CD. Something is better than nothing.

I know there is a camera store at the mall next to the Hilton Hawaiian Village. I just can't remember the name of it. It's not a big store but hey if they can get you a charger why not. Lol I was in there checking it out and purchased a polarizing filter.

Darn, I hope I didn't mix my islands up. This was in Oahu

You should be very cautious of the Title Fairy.

:) I got one of these (external link) for the week .. I've never done any underwater photography; this should be fun. I have heard of a couple of easily accessable beaches where we can snorkel. Not sure if I can afford a snorkeling trip considring the cost of all the other planned excursions.

I'm not carrying any snorkels or anything .. figure I'll pickup some cheap stuff at WalMart or something. It's no longer winter otherwise I'd get some big waves underwater too :)
