I found this snake swimming close to the shore hunting for bugs. Any help in identifying what type of snake it is would be most appreciated.

Thanks for the input, I considered a Milksnake but it is not that common in this area (north eastern Ontario), and doesn't a Milk snake perfer land to water? I thought maybe a Northern Watersnake?

We have them in the south; Banded Water Snakes are most common here.
