2nd shot this past weekend up in Columbus, the bride and groom were pretty fun and really wanted to take their time with pictures which allowed Christin (the 1st shooter) and I to get a lot of shots done. It's weird how having MORE time can allow people to be MORE relaxed which in turn makes BETTER pictures.

Since I was 2nd shooting I don't have any of the dress / shoes / rings, but here were some favorites that stood out. For those of you that have second shot before, you know you are shooting around the primary shooter, so often times it can be difficult to try and find ways to get that shot since the primary is already using the 'obvious' angle.

The first shot was actually free lensed 70-200 f2.8 IS V2 on a 1d mark IV, the rest were mainly 85L or 35L on 5d3. cheers!

that's crazy, didn't catch that before. I wonder if that's the 85mm's distortion? what's odd is I didn't mess with it...hmm...

I like them all except for number 1.

I aren't usually a fan of tilt shift shots at the best of times so "freeliensing" to get the same effect and ending up with a tilted focal plane isn't something that appeals to me, ends up looking like a blur mask has been applied in post processing to me eyes.

Agree what he said! Other wise, the rest are beautiful. I like the lighting on the indoor shoots.

thanks ; i don't have a tilt shift lens so kinda had to make due with it. Definitely something fun to try out on those long 60min catholic ceremonies for sure. I enjoy the look myself, but i'm sure it's not for everyone.

Love #3 and #5.
Agreed on #1. Not all that crazy about the effect.
A little discombobulated on #2 with the couple.
Might up the exposure on #4 just a smidgen.

I thought so too, but only after checking it on a different monitor. I have dual LED's at the house and REALLY don't want to have to buy a spyder calibration system but maybe it's time. Her face is a little dark for my liking ( on this monitor ).

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!
