I'm fairly new to photography and have a lot to learn, but I've already learned so much from this forum. So much talent here, it's scary! Anyways, here's a couple of attempts at HDR, trying to keep them somewhat natural looking.

You've failed to do that - they look very unnatural.

I think nature HDR is hard when it comes to sun sets. Unless you keep the foreground dark. I like the 2nd, but def not natural looking.

Thanks for the critiques guys. I guess my term "somewhat natural" is a little loose. In my head I was comparing them to the over the top HDR images you see. You're right though, I guess you wouldn't see this in nature, hence not natural. Ah well, I'm still pleased with how they turned out.

I'm not finding the first one to be that unnatural. The second shot isn't natural but I like it a lot.

I too dislike the heavily over processed HDR's. I like these a lot and disagree with the comments that they are over the top. They are bordering on it, but are well controlled and look good.
