I was inspired by Dropje's pano of downtown to shoot one of my own. Hampton Roads is my old stomping grounds, and I don't shoot there as often as I should. Sadly, they must have turned off the holiday building lights.

I used Google Earth (external link) to find the perfect location. It's a good thing I have it on my laptop, otherwise I never would have made it there earlier :)

But, that's Norfolk and part of South Norfolk to the right of the image. I got a bunch of really cool shots of light trails from the water taxi that runs between Norfolk and Portsmouth, but I'm having issues with my gallery, so those will have to wait until after I've had some sleep.

Hope you enjoy.

You look like you have done a good job with the stitching, but even on the enlarged image it is too small (on my screen anyway) to really see the details. How many photos went into the panorama, and how about doing a second panorama with just the left side only?

I've got two monitors on this PC, so I tried pasting your second photo as a background over them both. You've got a nice sharp clean photo there.
