hey guys

got an event coming up, grand opening party sort of thing (at night, so low light), dont have the specific details yet. I have been thinking about what lenses to use on 2 bodies.

I have
Canon 10-22mm
Canon 24-105mm
Canon 70-200mm F4
Canon 85mm F1.8
Canon 100-400mm
Sigma 30mm F1.4

I'm thinking the 85 and either the 30mm or the 10-22. bodies are a 7d and 550d. I have 2 flashes so they will be put on the 2 bodies. would this be sufficient?

Sigma 30mm on 7d, 85mm 1.8 on 550d.

Or put the 24-105 on one body with flash and the fast prime of your choice on the other one.

You'll need the 10-22 to capture groups. The 24-104 will cover the rest of the range you'll need, or maybe the 85mm, but that's awfully tight indoors.

Sigma 35 and Canon 85

forget the 24-105 with those cameras. At high ISO its not going to be all that great.

If there will be surfaces to bounce the flash off of and I was worried about the amount of space I'd have to work in I'd go with the 24-105 and 70-200. If the ceilings were too high and the walls too far away I'd go with the 24-105 and the 30mm. Nothing worse (for me) than taking primes and then not having the space to foot zoom in and not getting the composition I needed.

thanks for the input guys! I do not know what the space will be like, or if there will be walls / ceilings for me to bounce a flash off. ill probably end up going with the 10-22 and 30mm.

I have another mate tagging along, he has a 50mm and and 85mm so he can get the close up / individual shots.
